What we process, and why
If you send us the contact form, we process your name, your e-mail address and what you write. We use this only to answer you. The basis is your enquiry itself: without these details we cannot respond. We keep these messages for as long as they are useful for follow-up, and no longer than two years.
If you book a table, this runs through Zenchef, the reservation system we use. You provide your name, telephone number, e-mail address and the number of guests, and possibly a note. We use this to confirm the booking, to reach you if anything changes, and to know who is coming. Zenchef processes this on our instructions and may not use it for its own purposes.
If you visit our website, we measure how many people view our pages and how they arrive, using Google Analytics. This happens only if you consent through the notice at the bottom of the page. If you decline, nothing is measured and no statistics cookies are placed. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookies button at the bottom left.
To stop automated spam we use Google reCAPTCHA. It loads only once you start filling in the form.
Who receives your data
We sell nothing on and pass nothing on for third-party advertising. Your data reaches only the parties we need to run the site and the restaurant: Ucraft, the supplier and host of this website; Zenchef, our reservation system; and Google, for website statistics, the fonts and reCAPTCHA.
Some of these process data outside the European Union, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses laid down by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages: two years at most. Booking data: as long as your profile exists in Zenchef, and in any case as long as it is needed to follow up your visits. Statistics cookies: see our cookie policy.
What you can ask for
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a readable file. An e-mail to info@restaurantmaritime.be is enough; we answer within a month.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be.
